ABOUT US
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Eric Williamson was born and raised in Augusta, GA. At 12 years old, he began installing hardwood floors around the CSRA with his grandfather, Troyce Padgett. During the hot summers of Augusta, Eric was on the job sites with Papa Troyce, Aunt Rob, and Uncle Tony installing 2 1/4" Red Oak flooring. He enjoyed the moments of laughter over cans of Pepsi and bologna sandwiches on the tail gate of the truck.

Carrying on the family trade, in February of 1997, he started Williamson Hardwood Flooring. The Lord has blessed the business by allowing it to flourish through business partners, amazing clients, and our awesome crews!
The family tradition is still carried on through our coworkers. We have life long friends, nephews, sons, and daughters employed at Williamson Hardwood Flooring.
WHAT'S UP DOG?
"Get your floors Gunner approved!"

Gunner is our miniature dachshund and the official Williamson Hardwood Flooring mascot. He began going to work with us every day in 2020, quickly stealing everyone’s heart along the way.
So where did the slogan come from?
Every time we picked up a pallet of flooring from our local Augusta Carpet Mart, Gunner would stand proudly on the tailgate of the truck. “There’s the floor accountant! He’s counting and approving the quality of the floor bundles.” one of the employees would always say. Considering his height, Gunner is the perfect flooring inspector.

These days, Gunner is officially retired and enjoys a well-earned life of comfort, usually found lounging on his oversized memory-foam dog bed at home. That said, he still makes a special appearance from time to time, often by popular request from our clients.
MEET THE CREW
Our crew is more than employees and coworkers, they're family! We appreciate all the hard work they put in to help make our business what it has become.
John Stevens!
John has been a lifelong family and church friend and has worked alongside Eric for over 25 years. As the longest-standing member of our crew, John has been a steady and trusted presence through many seasons of the business, helping shape and mentor many of our young crew members over the years. John is a crew leader, installer, sand and finisher, and he is skilled in keeping our equipment running and repairing machines when they need attention. His loyalty, craftsmanship, and dedication have played a major role in shaping who we are today!
Stephen Miller!
Stephen (aka Bread), Eric’s nephew, has been part of the business since he was 15 years old, learning the trade through hands-on work and under the guidance of experienced crew members like John. With over 18 years on the job, Stephen has grown into a trusted crew leader, installer, and sand and finisher. He brings consistency, experience, and care to every project and has been an important part of the company for many years.

Ethan Williamson!
Ethan is Eric’s oldest son. He began learning the trade during summer breaks at around 12 years old, working alongside Eric on job sites while school was out. After graduating high school, Ethan joined full time to help carry on the family business. He works as an installer and sand and finisher, growing in the trade by learning the business the same way it has always been taught — on the job.

Owen Williamson!
Owen is Eric’s youngest son and works alongside his brother Ethan. Like Ethan, he started learning the trade at a young age, spending summers on job sites with his dad and gaining early hands-on experience. After graduating high school, Owen joined the company full time. He works as an installer and sand and finisher, growing in the trade by learning the business alongside family.

Hannah Williamson Dickert!
